Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of sumppumprepairguys.com and any service arranged through it. By using the site or booking work, you accept them. Last updated September 2026.

What we do

Sump Pump Repair Guys arranges diagnosis and repair of sump pump systems for homeowners. Work is carried out by licensed, insured technicians. We repair sump systems and related discharge plumbing, and we do not carry out general waterproofing or excavation work.

Quotes and pricing

  • Diagnosis comes first

A technician diagnoses the fault before quoting. Anything discussed over the phone is an estimate based on what you describe, not a fixed price.

  • You approve before we start

You receive a written price after the diagnosis and approve it before any work begins.

  • Changes on site

If the job turns out to be different once the system is opened up, we stop and re-quote rather than continuing and adding it to the bill.

  • Payment

Payment is due on completion unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Scheduling and access

Same-day and after-hours attendance depends on technician availability and conditions on the day, and cannot be guaranteed. You are responsible for providing safe access to the pit, the electrical supply and the discharge line. Where access is blocked or unsafe, we may need to reschedule.

Workmanship guarantee

We stand behind the repairs we carry out. If the same fault returns after we have worked on it, contact us and we will return to address it. The guarantee covers our workmanship and does not cover new or unrelated faults, damage caused by others, misuse, power failure, freezing, or parts supplied by someone else. Manufacturer warranties on parts are separate and belong to the manufacturer.

What a repair can and cannot do

A working sump pump removes groundwater collecting under and beside the basement floor. It does not stop water entering through walls or windows, does not prevent sewer backups, and cannot protect a basement during a power failure unless a tested backup system is fitted. No repair guarantees a permanently dry basement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability arising from work carried out is limited to the amount paid for that work. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of use of a room, damage to stored contents, or business interruption. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Using this website

Content on this site is provided for general information about sump pump systems and local drainage rules. Regulations, programmes and figures change, and the details of any property differ. Nothing here is professional advice for your specific property, and you should confirm anything that matters with your municipality or a licensed plumber. The text, images and diagrams on this site belong to us and may not be copied or republished without permission.

Cancellations

Let us know as early as you can if you need to cancel or move an appointment. Where a technician has already travelled to the property, a call-out charge may apply.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and will revise the date above when we do. The version in force when you book is the one that applies to that job.
