Why do sump pumps fail so often in Columbus?

Do I need a bigger pump if mine cannot keep up?
Usually not, and this is the most expensive mistake Columbus homeowners get sold. A pump that cannot keep up is often fighting a failed check valve, a partly blocked discharge line, or a basin too small for the inflow. A larger pump fixes none of those.

The breaker trips when the pump runs. Is that serious?
Yes. A pump drawing enough current to trip a breaker has an electrical fault, a seized motor, or a jammed impeller stalling the motor. That is a fire risk, not a nuisance.
Leave the breaker off and call rather than resetting it repeatedly. Every reset feeds current into a fault that is already failing.
When is the best time to book in Columbus?
